Load Balancing

HTTP
HTTP load balancing can balance HTTP-based traffic across multiple Compute Engine instances, allowing you to use a cluster of virtual machines to serve your HTTP traffic. Your entire app is exposed via one single global external IP address, resulting in much simplified DNS setup. HTTP load balancing is scalable, requires no pre-warming and gives you more resilience and fault tolerance.
Network
Network load balancing can spread TCP and UDP based traffic over a pool of instances within a Compute Engine region. Its health check helps ensure only healthy instances are used to handle the traffic. It is scalable and does not require pre-warming.
